The Valley City Garden Club will meet Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 6656 Center Road, Liverpool Township at 7:00 p.m.  At this meeting, Barb Lewis from Critter Creek Artistry will be demonstrating of the techniques used in the art of rock painting.   Come and bring a friend.   Roll Call response will be your favorite famous rock formation or monument.  The club offers many interesting and informative speakers, demonstrations and field trips.  For more information, contact R. Street Fair!!

Street Fair week is upon us once again! The Valley City Fire Department Association and the Valley City Community Group are putting on Street Fair starting Friday the 17th through Sunday the 19th. The Frog Jump Festival will coincide with the last day of Street Fair as it did last year. Event organizers are looking for some volunteer help during Street Fair. If you have a couple of hours to spare, give the Fire Department a call at 330-483-3811. Thanks!

The Valley City Garden Club will be holding their annual President’s Tea at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 6656 Center Road, Liverpool Township on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.  The tea will begin at noon.  The agenda will include Angelina Sheetz’s presentation titled Medicinal Herbs and will also include nomination of officers for 2018-2019.  The high spirits of the tea will be demonstrated by ladies in fancy hats and gentlemen in bow ties.  For more information, contact Tom at 440-724-1156.

Please join the Liverpool Township Historical Society in celebration of our Nation’s Birthday!

The fun starts at 10:00 on Wednesday July 4th with the Parade lineup as follows:

Marching units at the Depot, cars (classic & antique) behind Valley City Family Medicine (Dr. Grabenstetter’s office), bikes and both large and small floats at EUCC.

11 AM-Parade steps off down 303 from the Depot to West River to Maple Street, ending at Mill Stream Park where all the activities will be held.

11:45 AM-Car show

7:00 PM litchfield Band concert

Dusk-Fireworks

There will be concessions available benefitting BSA Troop 502 after the parade and during the evening events.

The Historical Council of Medina County is pleased to announce that the Dandelion Drive – A Journey in Time – is scheduled for Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 12 noon to 5pm. Visit five (5) historical societies in the northern region of Medina County to include Liverpool Historical Society,  Brunswick Area Historical Society, Hinckley Historical Society, Granger Historical Society and the Weymouth Preservation Society. Each location will feature artifacts, history, displays and more. New this year included on the flyer is a chance to win a $100 gift card. The Valley City Garden Club will be holding their giant annual plant sale on the grounds of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 6656 Center Road, Liverpool Township on Saturday, May 19, 2018.  The sale will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. with no early sales.  Some of the items that will be available will be herb, vegetable, annual and perennial seedlings.  There will also be ground covers, bushes, trees and many other garden-related items and, of course, the perfect thing for your garden.  Many of the items will be those lovingly grown by club members to help support the goals of the organization.  The sale will continue until noon.  For more information, contact Tom at 440-724-1156.
