Mill Stream Park Tree Maintenance

The Rocky River Watershed Council invites you to come to the Mill Stream Park on Tuesday June 11 4-6pm for some tree maintenance work. Meet at the pavilion to get organized. Supplies will be provided but bring your own work gloves. Text 330-242-1904 if you can attend.

Fourth of July Celebration

The Liverpool Twp. Historical Society will host the annual Fourth of July celebration on Thursday 7/4/2019 and the schedule will be as follows.

10am- Parade line up. Marching units at the Depot, Cars (classic & antique) behind Valley City Family Medicine (Dr. Grabenstetter’s office), Bikes, small & large floats at EUCC.

11am- Parade steps off. Parade route follows Rt. 303 to West River to School Street, ending at Mill Stream Park where all activities will be held.

11:45am- Car Show

Dusk- Fireworks

Concessions available benefitting BSA Troop 502 after parade and into the evening.

Are you privileged to know a WW II Veteran?  You are blessed, few of us are.  Do you vaguely remember hearing of the war from relatives or news reports?  In either case many understand very little of this event that changed our life & our world.
John Pekarcik of Sharon can give you WW II perspectives to include the Battle of the Bulge, Pearl Harbor, Holocaust, Stalingrad, Iwo Jima, Churchill & Roosevelt, Rosie the Riveter, rationing & blackouts.  Thursday, April 25, 7 PM at Emmanuel UCC, 6656 Center Rd in downtown Valley City.  Admission & Parking (behind church) are free.  Call 330 483 3038 for info.  Sponsored by the Liverpool Twp.
